Daivadnya Suvarnakar Samaj Mandal, Aurangabad has a very old reference. Due to the post 1960 Gold Control Act which demoralized the goldsmith community especially the artisan class, our brother who was well settled in the rural areas turned to other professions for livelihood. Aurangabad, which is emerging as an industrial city, as employment opportunities are available, families from all sections of our society have settled here.
In the early days, due to the time required to settle down and the lack of familiarity, members of society came together only at the level of relationship. In 1972, on the occasion of periodic visits, some youth established Daivagya Suvarnakar Youth Association, Aurangabad and continued efforts to build a strong organization by organizing various activities. When many congregations gathered for the Uttarkarya (Tervi) of (Chair) Madhavrao Binorkar of Chikalthana, the topic of organization came up in the discussion, and there the meeting of Daivagya Suvarnakar Samaj Mandal, Aurangabad was held.
Meetings and planned programs started to suffer due to lack of proper space. On this occasion, by visiting houses and receiving funds, the workers constructed about 1500 sq.ft. in Sanjay Nagar area. Bought the land (2 plots) and this problem was solved. The number of members and the number of attendees started increasing. This board in a temporary form by defining the goals, objectives, rules and constitution of Hon. Duly registered at Charity Commissioner's office. (F-1484 dt. 5-10-1987) The office-bearers and executives of the board took up their respective responsibilities. The executive consists of 7 persons, 5 elected and 2 accepted from among the life members.
Various programs and activities are being organized at the level of youth and women. Therefore, their leadership qualities are definitely being used.
Meanwhile, a distinguished businessman from Aurangabad Mr. He came in contact with Girishbhau Sikchi. Very impressed by the work of the board. His property in Chikalthana Industrial Area (Plot No. 81, Opposite Om K Industries, Behind SBI Bank) is about 15000 Sq. Fu. In 2009, he gave the space to the board at a very modest price only out of a sense of social commitment. The amount required for this was given generously by the brothers and well-wishers of the society. Approximately 2000 Sq. Fu. There is construction and it is well used in various events. There is a desire to start a kindergarten for education in this place and there is a plan to start a school in the future. Also, everyone has a plan to have a small Tumdar temple for the purpose of maintaining the sanctity of the area. The present President is carrying out the responsibilities of the board with the help of his executive members.
